Marvel's Teen X-Men Shows

X-Men: Evolution was an animated Marvel TV series that ran on the Kids WB from Nov. 4, 2000, to Oct. 25, 2003. Similar to the Ultimate Marvel lineup, X-Men: Evolution modernized the 1960s comic book series and turned the majority of its characters into teenagers attending high school. A significant difference between X-Men: Evolution and the 1992 X-Men series that aired on Fox Kids is that the show was set in a world where the existence of mutants wasn’t made public until its fourth and final season. Additionally, X-23, Wolverine’s adoptive clone daughter, originated from X-Men: Evolution. Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, two of the show’s writers, are credited for her creation. Kyle and Yost wrote a variety of animated Marvel direct-to-videos like Hulk vs. and contributed to the live-action MCU movies as well.

However, in the aftermath of Disney's 2019 acquisition of 20th Century Fox, the X-Men franchise -- which was long-licensed by the latter -- has Marvel Cinematic Universe big screen prospects on the far horizon. While no details have emerged on how Marvel Comics' uncanny team will manifest in the MCU, a development might arrive when Deadpool 3 is released on its scheduled date of Nov. 8, 2024. Not only will that film serve as the first Fox-licensed franchise to become grandfathered into Marvel Studios' mythos, but it will see star Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth team with a returning Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

X-Men: Evolution is available to stream on Disney+. The 1992 X-Men series is also available on Disney+ and will soon have new episodes under the name X-Men '97. The revival will reportedly premiere sometime in 2023.
