Marauders has been a unique take on the X-Men, taking several well-known characters and making them pirates who serve the island-nation of Krakoa. In the spirit of the book's theme, David Nakayama drew a variant cover featuring Storm and Emma Frost in pirate gear.

Nakayama posted his cover on Twitter, writing, "HOLD FAST, ye salty dogs! Today I get to share my brand-new #XMen cover— #Marauders No.14 featuring #Storm and #EmmaFrost in full #pirate gear!! Hope fans get behind this one so we can do more fancy pirate covers! Orders open NOW exclusively from @unknowncomicbooks !!"

Marauders #14 will be chapter 13 in the 22-part X of Swords crossover event. The event sees 10 X-Men taking up different swords to fight the incoming swordbearers of Arakko. Though the X-Men started to clone themselves on Krakoa as a means to cheat death, X of Swords' stakes are dire: if any X-Man dies in Otherworld where the tournament is being held, they cannot be cloned.

The solicit for Marauders #14 simply reads, "A toast. A dance. A dinner served: Part I." The standard cover features Storm dancing with Apocalypse's original Horseman of Death.

Marauders #14 is written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Stefano Caselli. The issue goes on sale from Marvel Comics on Nov. 4. The Nakayama variant is an Unknown Comics exclusive, which can be found on their website.
