Marvel Comics has released a new trailer for Demon Days: X-Men #1.

The trailer features images from the comic, which recasts the X-Men's Psylocke as a demon slayer in feudal Japan. While conducting her travels, Psylocke battles other mutants including the Juggernaut and Emma Frost. A massive red oni resembling the Red Hulk and a kappa with the same color scheme as Venom are also shown in the trailer.

The trailer promises a "singular artistic vision" from "one of the world's most in-demand artists," as well as "an unforgettable tale of mutants, magic and mayhem." "You've never seen the Marvel Universe like this!" a closing statement reads.

"Not only did Marvel offer me to do interiors, but to do everything myself and tell a Marvel story like no other. A 'Momoko-verse' was born," Momoko said when the series was first announced. "Because I love Yokai stories, horror, Japanese folktales, classic samurai tales… I wanted to tackle as much as possible using these concepts with Marvel characters and make something Marvel fans can still appreciate but also bring it in a fresh direction." The first look at the series will come as a backup story in King in Black #4, which goes on sale this month.

Written and illustrated by Peach Momoko, Demon Days: X-Men #1 goes on sale March 3 from Marvel Comics
