X-Men: Days of Future Past is now streaming on Disney+ and, according to Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman, X-Men fans will not have to worry about the film being edited or altered for the family-friendly streaming service.

"Days Of Future Past becomes the first movie to air on Disney+ uncensored," Jackman wrote, adding, "That was my future but let's be honest ... it's more like my past." The announcement came attached to an Instagram post featuring Wolverine from Days of Future Past riddled with bullet-holes and a screenshot from a scene that would be subject to censorship.

Disney+ has censored a number of TV shows and movies in the past, such as Wizards of Waverly Place and Splash. Though rated PG-13 like the majority of mainstream superhero movies, Days of Future Past does contain some material that could be considered questionable for Disney+. This includes on-screen smoking, vulgar language and some amount of nudity.

Days of Future Past has debuted on Disney+ with all of that material intact. The uncensored version of Days of Future Past is one of a number of Fox/Marvel properties to hit Disney+ in recent weeks. Since July 2020 began, Fantastic Four (2015) and The Wolverine both dropped on the service as well.

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Days of Future Past debuted in theaters on May 23, 2014. It starred Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan. It is now streaming on Disney+.
