With the release of the X-Men film Dark Phoenix quickly approaching, fans were treated to a message from the star of the film, Sophie Turner.

Turner, who plays Jean Grey, posted a video on Twitter teasing a "very special surprise" dropping tomorrow. Fan speculation as to what Turner could be teasing includes a new trailer and early Fandango movie screenings.

Dark Phoenix is based on the popular X-Men storyline "The Dark Phoenix Saga." Written by Chris Claremont with art by Dave Cockrum and John Byrne, the story saw Jean Grey become possessed with a godlike entity known as the Phoenix Force. Several other X-Men properties have contained elements of "The Dark Phoenix Saga," including X-Men: The Animated Series, X-Men: The Last Stand and Wolverine and the X-Men.

It's uncertain how closely Dark Phoenix will follow "The Dark Phoenix Saga," but images have revealed a number of things from the X-Men comics that we haven't seen on the big screen before, including the mutant island of Genosha.
