Dark Phoenix has added another mutant to the X-Men's roster.

In a music video for Emeli Sandé's "Extraordinary Being," which features clips from the upcoming film, Dazzler makes a brief appearance at the 2-minute mark. Wearing her iconic white jumpsuit and blue face paint, she uses her mutant abilities to create a light show in the woods.

X-Men Dark Phoenix Dazzler

At the time of writing, it is unclear how large a role Dazzler will play in the events of Dark Phoenix. However, it is worth noting that she debuted in 1980's The Uncanny X-Men #130, which was part of the original Dark Phoenix Saga from the comics. As such, her inclusion is likely a nod to the source material.

Dazzler was teased previously in X-Men: Apocalypse, which took place 10 years prior to Dark Phoenix. In that film, Scott Summers picked up one of Dazzler's records to show it to Jean. However, nothing more came out of this namedrop -- until now, that is.

Directed and written by Simon Kinberg, Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Jessica Chastain. The film arrives in theaters June 7.
