WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Wolverine #3 by Benjamin Percy, Adam Kubert, Frank Martin, and VC's Cory Petit, on sale now

Krakoa has given the X-Men and the many young mutants of the world a new home -- and security that they haven't known in quite some time. Some have taken this opportunity to kickstart some romantic pursuits, perhaps none more so than the current teenaged incarnation of Cable. Now, some of the young women who've been shown to be interested in him seem to be making a serious move.

The Cuckoos just recruited Wolverine to help them try and attract the romantic attention of Cable in their direction, solidifying the young version of Cable as Krakoa's newest ladies man.

A CUCKOO CRUSH

For his assault on the Flower Cartel and their associate the Pale Girl, Wolverine assembles a small group of trusted allies to help him stage a surprise attack on their chief supply line. While most of his friends agree to help with little to no question asked, one person who needed convincing was Quinten Quire. Having been killed and resurrected multiple times since joining the ranks of X-Force, Quire isn't initially keen on following Wolverine into any surprise missions. But the arrival of the five Stepford Cuckoos takes him by surprise, and quickly change his mind.

The five shamelessly flirt with Quire and egg him on to show the full extent of his power against the Pale Girl, causing the egotistical teen to throw himself into the mission. However, one of the Cuckoos turns to Logan and communicates with him telepathically. The Cuckoos were doing this solely as a favor to Wolverine, and they have one thing they want to be completed in return -- to be set up with Cable. While it isn't made completely clear what the Cuckoos want out of Cable, the heart-shape and pink hue of the thought bubble from the Cuckoo implies that the quintuplets have genuinely something of romantic interest in the other young Omega-Level telepath on the island.

CABLE THE HUNK

The teenage Cable, who replaced the former version of the character during the Extinction event, has quickly established himself as something of a heartthrob on Krakoa. The youthful Nathan Summers has been shown to be disarmingly charming when he wants to be, developing a friendship and connection with many residents of the island. On top of the apparent attraction felt by the Cuckoos for Cable, he's also caught the attention of other young mutants such as Armor (with whom Cable has developed some palpable romantic tension) and her friend, Pixie. The Cuckoos have also previously been implied to be interested in the young man, although there comes some complicated elements of any possible relationship between the Cuckoos and Nathan Summers.

The Cuckoos are the clone daughters of Emma Frost, the White Queen. Similar to Laura and Gabby's relationship with Wolverine, this has developed into a surprisingly close bond between the parents and their surprise children. Emma also has feelings for Scott Summers, Cable's father, and the two were in a complex romance for years. With Emma and Scott seeming to be rekindling their romance, this makes any prospective romance between the Cuckoos and Nathan a bit weird, even for the new culture of Krakoa. They'd be together, despite the fact that their parents are also romantically involved.

It's clear that the Cuckoos don't mind though, as they seem to be pushing Cable's "Uncle Logan" to try and push him towards them. But if Cable does end up in a romance with at least one of the Cuckoos, then the Summers Family Tree will get even more bizarre.
