With the original time-displaced X-Men lost in space following the Venom/X-Men Blue crossover "Poison-X," a new team of X-Men will form to combat White Queen, Havok, Miss Sinister and Bastion as they launch Project: Mothervine. However, the conclusion of that story in May's X-Men Blue #28 teases multiple deaths for our replacement heroes.

The new team of X-Men was first revealed on the cover of April's X-Men Blue #25; their lineup consists of Polaris, Jimmy Hudson, Gazing Nightshade, Daken, Xorn, and the Bloodstorm. Jimmy Hudson, Wolverine’s son from the Ultimate Universe, joined the team in X-Men Blue #5, followed in Issue 12 by Bloodstorm, the vampiric Ororo Munroe from the Mutant X universe.

It remains to be seen which replacement X-Men will fall in the line of duty, but with each member having close relationships across the Marvel Universe, their deaths should send shockwaves throughout future issues of X-Men Blue.
