As part of Marvel's upcoming X-Men #11 release, artist David Nakayama unveiled his exclusive variant cover, which features a heated lip lock between Scott Summers and Emma Frost.Nakayama posted the cover on Twitter, writing, "Okay X-fans—here it is!! My brand-new cover for #XMen 11, available exclusively from my pals at @Unknown_Comics! Perhaps the thirstiest cover I’ve ever drawn and based on @JScottCampbell's iconic cover for ASM 606. This one goes up for pre-order Sunday at 2pm EST."RELATED: X-Men: Marvel Unveils October's X of Swords Covers

Nakayama then added in another tweet that he worked on a second "secret" cover. He said, "Also, red alert: **there is a secret 2nd cover (!!!!)** to be revealed later. Totally different art --but what could it be?! Anyway, hope you enjoy, and if you love my X-Men work, I hope you’ll consider picking this up! Cheers!"

The cover is an homage to J Scott Campbell's work on Amazin Spider-Man #606, which saw Spider-Man kissing Felicia Hardy as a surprised Mary Jane Watson looked on. Here, Scott and Emma take the parts of Spidey and Black Cat while Jean Grey assumes MJ's position.

The X-Men's Dawn of X relaunch has been notoriously unclear with the relationship statuses of many core X-Men, including Cyclops and Emma Frost.

The standard cover for X-Men #11 features Magneto being attacked by trees and surrounded by skulls. The description simply reads, "THE TREES ARE KILLING THE CHILDREN!" Nakayama's cover can be preordered on Sunday, July 19, from Unknown Comics.
