Marvel Comics provided CBR with an exclusive look at X-Force #29, by writer Benjamin Percy, artist Robert Gill, colorist Guru-eFX and letterer VC's Joe Caramagna. The preview promises a showdown with the X-Men's Krakoa.

Created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, Krakoa first appeared in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1. The entity is a living island. While initially hostile towards the X-Men, starting in the Dawn of X era, Krakoa has become home to Marvel's mutants. As such, the location is one of the most important to the Marvel universe at this time.

In CBR's exclusive preview of X-Force #29, Quentin Quire narrates about how pretty much everyone on the island has thought about the false promises of Utopias and the fact that empire inevitably fall. As such, one would have to be "revoltingly stupid" to have faith in anything. However, Quire believes to become the "Omega of Omegas," he'll need "Krakoa to survive."

While that's going on, a backup Cerebro unit that's become sentient crashes into a body of water. Black Tom goes to investigate the disturbance. While he's wading through the water, the glowing red X of the Cerebro unit appears behind him, indicating he's going to be in a lot of trouble very quickly. The cover of X-Force #29 makes indicates the Cerebro unit is going to take control of Krakoa and turn it against the mutants, leading to a showdown with Quire, Wolverine, Beast and more.
