A new teaser for the eleventh season of the X-Files acts as both a refresher and a teaser for fans who are eagerly awaiting Season 11’s premiere. The video also offers some behind-the-scenes insights into what the new season might hold, which actors are returning and the central plot.

The finale of Season 10 saw the show’s cast in dire straits. Scully was peering up at a UFO, an epidemic was steadily creeping across the world and Mulder was on death’s door. Season 11 looks to follow up on what may very well have been the end of the world, but not without a dash of humor thrown in.

The behind-the-scenes video shows some dramatic moments, but also makes time for Sasquatch hunting in an episode written by Darren Morgan. Morgan wrote some of the most memorable, humorous episodes of The X-Files during its initial run. Morgan wrote episodes like “Humbug,” “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Response” and “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space,” and later returned to write "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster" for Season 10.

The X-Files returned to television in 2016 after being off the air for 14 years. Season 10 reunited FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) to continue their work on the X-Files, paranormal criminal cases involving the strange and unexplainable.
