Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis are poised to join stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for Fox's six-episode revival of "The X-Files.'

“There’s Gillian and I, we’re original," Duchovny revealed last night on "Late Show With David Letterman. "Mitch Pileggi will come back, and the Cigarette-Smoking Man — if this means anything to anyone — will be coming back.”

Pileggi played FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner for all nine seasons of the sci-fi drama, and appeared in both features, while Davis' Cigarette-Smoking Man served as the primary antagonist throughout most of the series.

Creator Chris Carter is also on board for the revival, which is set to begin production this summer. No premiere date has been announced.
