During the X-Men panel at C2E2, X-Factor writer, Leah Williams, admitted she had some reservations about writing Polaris in the title.

Williams revealed that Lorna Dane was the last character she chose for the team, saying she was "afraid to write her" because of the character's intimidating legacy. To overcome this, she talked to friends who loved the character to help her get a better sense of how to write her.

Williams' X-Factor will be about the team tracking down missing mutants and working with the Five. The book will reveal secrets about the resurrection process introduced in last year's House of X.

Jordan White described the book as "beta testing" things on Krakoa. "It's constructed in such a way that it really works as a --it's got the internal engine that will make the book have to go all the time," he added.

One of the series covers was also shown at C2E2, showing Northstar and Rachel Grey in trench coats. Eye Boy, Polaris, Daken and Prodigy appear on the side screens. The X villain, Mojo is seen watching the screens of the team dubbed "Krakoa PD."

X-Factor #1 by Leah Williams, David Baldeón and Israel Silva goes on sale April 22 from Marvel Comics.
