On the July 27 episode of "Raw," WWE wrestler and longtime comics fan Stardust once again called out "Arrow" star Stephen Amell, continuing his months-long feud with the actor. While giving a speech ostensibly directed at fellow wrestler Neville, Stardust tore a copy of a "Green Arrow" comic in half to emphasize one of his points about heroes and villains.

Amell quickly fired back on Twitter, promising physical retribution if Stardust doesn't stop calling him out on television and social media.

Hey @StardustWWE - I'm not a wrestler. But if you keep calling me out, I'm going to come to Raw and punch you right in the mouth.- Stephen Amell (@amellywood) July 28, 2015

Stardust, formerly known as Cody Rhodes, has been building a feud with the "Arrow" star since Amell appeared on the May 26 episode of "WWE Raw." Early on, it appeared as if the two were laying the groundwork for a program that would see Amell square off against Stardust at Summerslam, the WWE's second-biggest pay-per-view event of the year. However, as soon as rumors began to circulate about the proposed match, word got out that it was unlikely to happen.

Since then, Stardust has settled into a feud with "Raw" co-star Neville, aka "The Man That Gravity Forgot." Stardust's persona is patterned after a comic book supervillain, down to a Frank Gorshin Riddler-esque delivery and ring outfits that would look at home on Mr. Sinister. Neville wears a cape to the ring and is known for his high-flying moves. The hero-vs.-villain subtext hasn't been lost on WWE, with the company creating several comic-book style animated promo videos hyping their clashes.

In recent weeks, however, the Summerslam match with Amell began to look like it was on once again. While feuding with Neville, Stardust continued to shoot barbs at Amell, making regular references to "green arrows" and superheroes while continuing to volley insults back and forth with the actor star on Twitter. Amell recently posted the following video to his Facebook page, asking why a wrestler continues to bother him, and hinting at an appearance on an upcoming episode of "Raw" or "Smackdown," the WWE's secondary show, to step into the ring and straighten things out.

The actor also tempered fan expectations a bit, tweeting the following artwork by WWE painter and comic book artist Rob Schamberger, indicating that if he does face off with Stardust at Summerslam, it likely won't be in his full "Arrow" gear.
