Developer The Coalition's Gears 5 offers gamers a small collection of playable characters across the single-player campaign and multiplayer. If that wasn't enough, the Microsoft game will be adding three new playable characters to the roster.WWE wrestler Austin Creed announced on social media that he and the rest of the New Day team -- Creed, Kofi Kingston and Big E -- will be appearing in the game as DLC characters. The wrestler also included two pieces of video game artwork depicting himself and the New Day team clad in modified COG armor. The release date of the DLC and its price have not yet been announced.

Gears 5 centers on Kait Diaz, descendent of Myrrah, Queen of the Locust Horde; in Diaz's journey to uncover her ancestry. She, an Outsider, is brought on to the COG army with DJ, Del and Marcus as part of the Delta Squad and tasked with restoring the Hammer of Dawn network. The game received positive reviews from critics and players but was criticized for its story. The game is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
