Former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz revealed an old pitch where Vince McMahon could have killed Dylan Postl, also known as Hornswoggle).Gewirtz found an old paper with the never-used storyline by an unknown writer while cleaning out a closet. Gewirtz wrote on Twitter. "I don't know which writer came up with this nearly 13 years ago and I can pretty much guarantee it didn't make it to Vince but you got to admire someone who swings for the fences."RELATED: WWE Faces Insider Trading Suit Against McMahons, Triple H

According to the note, McMahon would have placed Postl into a pillow before throwing the wrestler over the side of a bridge out of a car window, leading to Hornswoggle's demise. The proposed event would have been the result of the illegitimate son storyline between McMahon and Postl.

Upon seeing the morbid idea, Postl's former rival and WWE Hall of Famer John Layfield (aka JBL) wondered if the storyline was still possible. He replied, "Can we still do this, [Brian Gewirtz]?"

JBL and Hornswoggle had a tension-filled feud after JBL fought in the place of McMahon during a cage match. He revealed that Hornswoggle was Finlay's son -- not McMahon's -- in a follow-up match.

Postl wrestled for the WWE from 2006 until 2016, starting off as the Finlay's sidekick. He eventually won the Cruiserweight Championship. Since being let go from the WWE, the wrestler has been working with AEW under the name Swoggle.
