WWE has announced that it will move Wrestlemania 36 and all its related events in Tampa, Florida to its Performance Center in Orlando for a closed-door event. However, the show will still stream live on the WWE Network and be available on PPV April 5 at 7 pm ET.

"In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place," the official statement from WWE.com reads. "However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania."

Last week, WWE was actively developing "contingency plans" for future live shows in order to tackle growing coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. WWE's Friday Night SmackDown taping in Detroit last week was the first on-air event to take place at the Orlando Performance Center, with tonight's RAW also being filmed there.

Wrestlemania week typically involves meet-and-greet events between WWE Superstars and fans. The 2020 Hall of Fame class is also inducted days prior to Wrestlemania, and NXT also holds a TakeOver event ahead of the WWE's "Super Bowl."

Wrestlemania joins a list of other high-profile events to be affected by the coronavirus, including SXSW, Emerald City Comic Con, and the releases of blockbuster movies like F9 and No Time To Die.

Wrestlemania 36 will air live on the WWE Network and PPV on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET.
