Jorge Arias, better known as the second incarnation of Sin Cara, has requested to be released from his WWE contract."Last night, after prayer and much consideration, I made one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my professional wrestling career: I have asked for my release from the WWE," Sin Cara shared on Twitter. At the time of this writing, it's unclear as to why he requested his release or if WWE has granted it.

Arias' career with WWE began in 2011 when he temporarily took over for the original Sin Cara, Luis Urive, before eventually performing unmasked as Hunico. However, when Urive was released from the company, Arias once again donned the mask and began wrestling as Sin Cara full-time.

Perhaps Arias' most memorable stretch with WWE was from 2013-2016 when he partnered with fellow luchador performer Kalisto. As the Lucha Dragons, Sin Cara and Kalisto held the NXT Tag Team Championship on one occasion and were frequent contenders in the WWE Tag Team Championship picture.

Sin Cara's most recent televised appearance was the Oct. 21 edition of Monday Night Raw, where he lost a singles match to Andrade Cien Almas.
