WWE finally revealed the rumored nWo John Cena figure, which is inspired by the wrestler and actor's WrestleMania 36 acid-trip match with Bray Wyatt.

Being released by Mattel as the next Ringside Collectibles exclusive, the collectible figure depicts Cena in a black fabric nWo t-shirt and hat, and holding a nWo World Heavyweight Belt. Other accessories include three sets of hands, a black and white cardboard WCW Monday Nitro foldable backdrop and a "Tradition bites! nWo 4 Life" box.

The official description for the collectible figure reads,

WrestleMania 36 - The WrestleMania too big for just one night - was full of shcoks and surprises, capped off by the most shocking, surprising match in WrestleMania history: The Firefly Funhouse match between Bray Wyatt and John Cena. Nobody knew what to expect, leas of all John Cena.

From the moment the match started, it was clear this was no ordinary contest. Rather then bell-to-bell action, the firefly funhouse match was a waking nightmare. Cena relived career moment after career moment, each twisted with fabricated failures. All except for one moment that never happened where John Cena abandoned his legacy as a hero of the people, and joined the NWO. In the end, it was another illusion of Wyatt's making. Cena sank deeper into his own personal horrors within the funhouse, and has not been seen in WWE since.

The nWo John Cena figure is available for pre-order now and retails for $27.99. The collectible is expected to ship in mid-May.

News of the John Cena nWo figure came weeks after the entertainer confirmed he wouldn't appear at Wrestlemania 37 due to his filming obligations for Peacemaker.

It was previously revealed that Cena will step into the role of Christopher Smith/Peacemaker in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which is due out on Aug. 6. Cena will reprise the role for an eight-episode Peacemaker series on HBO Max. The series expands upon the world that Gunn created in 2021's The Suicide Squad. While the plot is being kept secret, Gunn previously stated that the show "is an opportunity to delve into current world issues through the lens of this superhero/supervillain/and world’s biggest douchebag."

Written and produced by James Gunn, Peacemaker stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The eight-episode series will arrive on HBO Max in January 2022.
