Former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has reportedly re-signed with the company following her release seven months ago.
Fightful Select reports Vega, aka Thea Trinidad, made an appearance at the WWE Performance Center Thursday, May 13. While her husband Aleister Black is still a part of the WWE main roster, Vega was reportedly filmed while at the WWE PC. The report goes on state that the plan is for Zelina Vega to officially return to WWE. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has also backed up Fightful Select's original report.
Zelina Vega was released by WWE on Nov. 13, 2020, minutes after voicing her support of wrestlers unionizing on social media. Her Twitter post simply read, "I support unionization." This was followed by the official WWE Twitter account sharing the news that Vega had been released. "WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega," the WWE.com article said. "We wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
Much of the speculation surrounding Vega's WWE release stemmed from the company cracking down on wrestlers using third-party platforms like Twitch and Cameo. The Wrestling Observer reported Zelina Vega made more money from Twitch than WWE, with WWE responding by revealing Zelina Vega was fired for opening an OnlyFans account.
