Fans across the globe spent Saturday, May 4 celebrating Star Wars Day 2019. It's a time to reflect on the Star Wars franchise as a whole, whether it be through the various movies, TV shows, comics or toys. One person who used the holiday to express their Star Wars feelings was former WWE Superstar, the Iron Sheik. The Hall of Famer shared happy tidings to Han Solo and Chewbacca on Twitter, while also taking a swipe out the newer films in the Star Wars franchise, calling them "fake like Jussie Smollett."RELATED: LEGO Celebrates Star Wars Day With BOOST Droid Commander Set"GOD BLESS THE CHEWBACCA HE & HAN SOLO REAL JEDI LIKE ME & THE NIKOLAI," he posted to Twitter. "BUT NEW STAR WARS JEDI FAKE LIKE JUSSIE SMOLLETT & JABRONI PARTNER THE DEAD DOG. NEW STAR WARS MOVIES GO FUCK YOURSELF A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR FAR FAR AWAY. #MayThe4thBeWithYou #FUCKTHESTARWARS"

Of course, the jab at Jussie Smollett is in response to the Empire actor's recent legal troubles. The actor filed a police report in February stating he was the victim of a hate crime. However, the Chicago police department's investigation found evidence alleging Smollett paid two Nigerian-Americans to stage the attack. Smollett would later be indicted for filing a false police report and disorderly conduct.

All charges would later be dropped when Smollett's defense team reached a plea deal with the prosecutors, with Smollett ordered to perform community service and forfeit a $10,000 bond.

As for the Iron Sheik, his tweet makes it clear he prefers the original Star Wars trilogy to the newest installment.
