WWE legend "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan is reportedly in the hospital after suffering from a medical issue.

According to PWInsider, the WWE Hall of Famer is suffering from an undisclosed medical issue, with his family stating it forced him to cancel all upcoming events, including an appearance at Legends of the Ring in New Jersey.

This is the latest in a series of health scares for the wrestling legend. Back in November 2018, Duggan's heart went into atrial fibrillation, causing him to be placed in the intensive care unit. He had a procedure to address the problem in March. In 2013, he had surgery on his rotator cup after receiving funds through an Indiegogo campaign. Duggan also survived a cancer scare in 1998, forcing him to take a break from wrestling until April 1999.

Duggan's journey with professional wrestling dates back to his days as a multi-sport athlete in high school. He focused on football in high school and college before knee injuries sidelined his professional football career. His professional wrestling career has stretched over four decades under different organizations such as WWE and WCW. Duggan's signature 2x4 wood and 'Hoooo!' catchphrase led to him becoming the first Royal Rumble winner in 1998. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
