The resurrected G4 network has announced one of its first new pieces of programming and it's a cooperative effort with WWE. The video game competition series will feature huge gaming content creators fighting each other in various games. And it will be hosted by WWE's Xavier Woods AKA Austin Creed, one of the first people to be announced as a contributor to the resurging network.

“Getting a shot to be a G4 cast member is incredible and humbling in itself, and I couldn’t be more excited for the chance to have my own show,” said Woods. “Not only will I host, but I’ll also have a pivotal role to play as the top personalities in gaming try to settle their beef.”

G4 started operations in 2002, then merged with TechTV in 2010. The network went off the air in 2014 but a series of Tweets over the summer of 2020 announced G4's return. Its most popular series included Attack of the Show!, which had a variety of hosts but was perhaps best known for being hosted by Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn. Attack of the Show! will return to G4 in 2021, with both Pereira and Munn once again leading the charge.

After the announcement that G4 would resume operations, Xavier Woods began a concerted online campaign to join the network. Given his prominence as a WWE performer and the success of his UpUpDownDown YouTube Channel, G4 made the inevitable choice to bring him into the fold. This upcoming series represents the first confirmed partnership between the two companies. It's safe to say that Woods is enthusiastic about the opportunity.

In addition to his upcoming work with G4, Xavier Woods has spent the past few years in WWE as a member of the successful team known as The New Day. The team currently consists of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. This duo will defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against AJ Styles and Omos on night one of WrestleMania 37 on Saturday, April 10.

WrestleMania will take place Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay and stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else. G4 is scheduled to return in summer 2021 with Attack of the Show! and X-Play.
