John Cena wears a lot of hats. He’s the face of the WWE, multi-time world champion, Hollywood A-lister, and, of course, the topic of some hilarious memes. Sure, that last personal title may not be the most glamorous — especially for someone as accomplished as the Face that Runs the Place — but that doesn’t make those viral jokes any less hilarious — to both wrestling fans and those who don’t keep up with WWE.RELATED: The Best Avengers: Endgame #AvengeTheFallen MemesSo, with that in mind, we’re taking look at the most hilarious memes starring John Cena.

9 When Anime Is Life

Over the years, we've learned a lot about John Cena. He's been in the spotlight for so long and had a recurring presence on the hit reality show Total Divas, yet somehow, his love for anime must have slipped through the cracks.

While we doubt he actually knows anything about the genre, we'd love to imagine him kicking back in his giant castle of a mansion wearing neon green pajamas with a box of fruity pebbles to binge watch JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. Who knows though, he's traveled across North America in a giant bus for years, maybe he's tried watching an episode or two of Dragon Ball Z.

8 We Can't Unsee Him

Well, it turns out John Cena shares a striking resemblance to the late comedian Jim Varney, who played the janitor Ernest in such classics as Ernest Goes To Jail or Ernest Goes To Camp. We probably could have gone our whole lives without having this pointed out to us, but if we have to see it, so do you. With that said, the two look quite different, it just happens that with the right light, the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion can look like the star of a stretch of popular comedies from the 1980s and 1990s.

7 How We Felt Getting Our PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 is one of the best selling video game consoles of all time, with a fantastic library to choose from. So when we finally got our hands on the console, it really did feel like John Cena did when he won the Money In The Bank contract — which this photoshopped image originally depicted. The only issue we see here is that he didn't get a bundle with a game, so he might be pretty bored when he gets home.

6 When You Look Like Your Dad

There are a lot of ways to tell a woman that she shares similar features to her father's side of the family, but saying "you look like your dad" is probably a bad idea. Unless you want to make them feel like cross-dressing Cena — in which case, you're doing the right thing.

This isn't the only time we've seen the former Doctor of Thuganomics partake in some gender-bending either. In fact, in 2016, both he and former girlfriend (then later fiance) Nikki Bella cosplayed as each other for Halloween. While we weren't really expecting it, he owned the Diva look. We just wish we had that kind of confidence.

5 You Can't See Me... Without Your Glasses

John Cena's popular catchphrase "you can't see me" has been the pun of many jokes throughout the years, and it's probably thanks to the absurdity of his statement. Billed at six foot one and weighing in at 251 lbs, it would be very hard not to see John Cena if he's in the same vicinity as you.

However, the actual meaning is just that his opponent isn't on his level. So, if you weren't aware of that, there's a little factoid to tell your friends at the next party.

4 John Cena, The Power Ranger

Unexpected John Cena is one of the more over-used memes in recent memory, but that doesn't make this one any less funny. Using the scene that introduced the White Ranger — formerly the Green (who was also the best one) — this Twitter user spliced the meme into a classic Power Rangers scene.

We here at CBR are happy we live in an era where the common person has access to video and audio editing software that can make this joke possible. Seriously, this couldn't be done 15 years ago.

3 I See You

What happens when John Cena goes to the ICU? Well, apparently, there's a lot of confusion. Here's a little bit of fun trivia on this photo. It was actually taken in 2016 when he underwent shoulder surgery. In fact, if you zoom the photo out a little bit, he's sliding on what appears to be some kind of sling for his injured arm.

Still, it's kind of crazy how a catchphrase he adopted in the early to mid-2000s is still being used as a joke heading into the 2020s.

2 I'm Gonna Wreck It

When John Cena was exclusively wrestling, we were used to a more clean-cut hairstyle. However, after some time away, the Face that Runs the Place came back with long hair that made him look both younger or older depending on the angle. The bushy hair mixed with the jorts really does give him a giant 12-year-old, but as one Twitter user pointed out, he really looks like Wreck-it Ralph. At the very least, they probably have similarly sized biceps.

1 That's Enough Internet For Today

Technically, that's not correct. The letter "q" doesn't make the sound queue on its own. Actually, it makes more of a "cuh" noise. With that said, that letter is often used in conjunction with "u" next to it which does make a sound similar to "queue". So, in reality, the word in question is really "qu" followed by three silent letters.
