Following the second night of WWE WrestleMania 36, the WWE Network aired the latest episode of its WWE 24 series of documentaries: WWE 24 - Edge: The Second Mountain. While Edge (real name Adam Copeland) started his professional wrestling training in 1992 before landing at WWE in 1996, the Rated R Superstar revealed his "first" match came in the form of a comic book he created himself.

In The Second Mountain, Edge showed off that comic book, titled The Cutting Crew. The homemade comic stars Edge alongside his best friend and eventual professional tag team partner, Christian (also known as Christian Cage, real name William Jason Reso). While Edge did not reveal any story details, comic was evidently a rather ambitious project for a young Adam Copeland, apparently being in full-color and boasting "68 pages of action." The book was "published" by the fictional Cope Comics, the logo for which is clearly based on the classic Marvel Comics logo synonymous with the 1990s and very early 2000s. Interestingly enough, Edge would go on to be depicted in some of the official wrestling comic books licensed by WWE.

The Second Mountain follows Edge on his journey back to the ring after being away from WWE for several years. After debuting for the company in the '90s, Edge enjoyed a successful tag team career alongside the aforementioned Christian. In the early-to-mid 2000s, the Rated R Superstar embarked on what would become a very successful singles career, enjoying main event status and multiple reigns with WWE's major titles.

Edge's career was cut short in April of 2011, when lingering complications from a severe neck injury he had suffered several years prior threatened to jeopardize his long-term health and forced him to retire from in-ring competition at the age of 37. In 2012, Edge was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Christian. Edge, now 46, wrestled his first match since 2011 earlier this year, making a surprise return in the 2020 Men's Royal Rumble match back in January after being medically cleared to compete. At this year's WrestleMania he partook in a Last Man Standing match against rival and former tag team partner Randy Orton, in which Edge was victorious.
