Jock, the artist of the acclaimed new VERTIGO series THE LOSERS, has signed a 2-year exclusive agreement with DC Comics.

"I'm very happy to be signing with DC," says Jock. "Since working with them I've had nothing but encouragement and support, the editors have been fantastic, and DC have been behind us all the way with THE LOSERS. I've found I'm actively encouraged to be as creative as possible, which is a real bonus. It speaks volumes about the ethics of the editors and it's something I'm looking forward to indulging in over the coming months!"

"Jock's ultra-cool, action-fueled art has helped make THE LOSERS a no-miss book," says Karen Berger, VP - Executive Editor, VERTIGO. "His powerful drawing style and dynamic storytelling are perfect for this series and his covers are nothing short of spectacular. It's wonderful to have an artist with his talent, potential and professionalism here at DC"

Here's what the critics are saying about THE LOSERS #1:

"THE LOSERS is a smart action-thriller that sucked me into the story. If the characterization builds and matures with the series, this could be a great book." - 411mania.com

"Really, the only losers here are the folks who miss out on the chance to get in on the ground floor...don't check your brain at the door; this is smart action storytelling, and the potential is clear and well-realized. Best of the Week!" - TheFourthRail.com

"The dialogue is sharp and realistic, and also varies nicely in tone (and seemingly even inflection) from character to character. Jock's art is also impressive, instantly putting him in the company of other talented DC artists of a similar styles, including Marcelo Frusin, Lee Bermejo, Kano, and Eduardo Risso." - Zentertainment.com
