At this year's WrestleMania, superstars Mickie James and Lana both suited up as famous female superheroes for the second annual WrestleMania Women's Battle Royale match, briefly making the battle between Raw and SmackDown and the battle between Marvel and DC one and the same. When the time for the multi-women contest to take place, James and Lana first showed off their custom ring gear while making their way to the ring alongside their fellow competitors. James, who is currently signed to WWE's Raw brand, sported an outfit clearly inspired by Marvel's Captain Marvel, a character who recently made a huge splash on the big screen.Meanwhile, Lana, who competes over on the SmackDown brand, wrestled in gear based on the iconic costume of DC's Wonder Woman, another beloved comic book heroine who has also enjoyed a significant amount of cinematic success as of late.RELATED: WWE's Johnny Gargano Suits Up as Tony Stark's Iron Man for NXT TakeOver

Of course, in the world of professional wrestling, both Mickie James and Lana can be seen as superheroes in their own right. After all, James is a bona fide veteran of the industry with a career spanning two decades. Moreover, she is a five-time Women's Champion and a one-time Divas Champion for WWE, not to mention the titles and accolades she has accumulated elsewhere. In other words, she knows what it means to go higher, further and faster.

Lana is certainly no pushover either, as the "Ravishing Russian" has also achieved a fair bit of success in a rather short amount of time. Alongside real-life husband Rusev, Lana made her managerial debut for WWE in 2013, quickly becoming a fan-favorite character as the couple began making serious headway in the company. In 2016, Lana then began her career as an in-ring performer at that year's WrestleMania.
