In a world where Disney's line of Pixar films can often overshadow other Disney Animation productions, the 2012 hit "Wreck-It Ralph" was a big animated hit for the studio. During Disney's presentation at CinemaCon, Dave Hollis, the head of distribution for The Walt Disney Studios, announced the full title of "Wreck-It Ralph's" sequel as well as further casting news.
The film will carry the title, “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” and it will arrive in theaters on March 9, 2018. Returning to the franchise will be Phil Johnston (writer), Rich Moore (director) and Clark Spencer (producer). Key cast members will also be returning, including the hero of the film, Ralph (John C. Reilly), Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch). The film will also feature a host of new characters, yet to be revealed.

The official press release for the film provides a few details about the premise of the film from the director, which seems to mirror the real world shift from console and arcade gaming to online gaming. “To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore," said Moore. "Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”
