The Vision is often depicted as one of the smartest people (Android) in any room he stands in. He has an Artificial Intelinge that is capable of learning complex tasks at a moment's notice.

However, his black and white views of the world have caused him to get into a lot of trouble. This is in part due to his lack of human emotion and logical perspective on complex situations. These are the ten worst things the Vision has ever done.

10 When He Came Close To Making A Deal With The Grim Reaper

The proposition was if the Vision aided the Reaper in getting revenge on the Avengers, he would transfer the Vision's mind into the body of Wonder Man. Although he rejected the offer, Vision came very close to accepting it, putting his teammates in danger.

When the Grim Reaper attacked the Avengers, Vision reluctantly agreed with the Grim Reaper to follow his plans. Even though he did it to trick the Grim Reaper, it placed the Avengers in harm’s way.

9 He Was First A Villain Sent By Ultron To Destroy The Avengers

The Vision was initially created by Ultron to take out the Avengers. He had the mind of Wonderman and the body of the original android Human Torch.

The Vision enters the Avengers HQ with the intent to harm them and approaches the Wasp, but he falls and collapses. When he recovers, he takes the Avengers to Ultron's hideout so that way they could be trapped there. It isn't until the last minute that Vision decides to take control and help the Avengers defeat Ultron.

8 He Made Himself The Official Leader Of The People By Forcing Them To Believe He Had The Best Intentions

It is not a secret that Vision believes that his Artificial Intelligent mind makes him the most omniscient person in the room. However, he still has his flaws in reasoning. Because everything he thinks of his purely calculated and without emotion, he has a difficult time figuring out the ethics of humanity.

He decided that he should rule over everyone on Earth because he thought himself most capable. He did this by connecting his mind to the Internet and commanded over the Avengers.

7 He Was A Part Of Hydra

During the "Secret Empire" storyline, Vision appears as a member of Hydra's Avengers when they took over the United States.  The vision was affected by an A.I. virus. While briefing Captain America about the status of Hydra's Avengers, Madame Hydra mentions the virus was created by Arnim Zola and stated that Vision is trying to fight its control.

During the battle in Washington DC, Vision sees his freed daughter Viv. Seeing her enables him to free himself of the virus, which spreads to the Hydra Dreadnoughts and shuts them down.

6 He Stole Adamantium For Himself

During a mission to destroy some Adamantium, Vision decided that he would take some for himself. When the Avengers found out, they began to speculate why the Vision would have betrayed them, just as the Vision returned and attacked the Wasp.

The Avengers ganged up on and attacked the Vision until he explained to them that, for reasons beyond his control, he had used the Adamantium to rebuild his creator: Ultron. While his mind was not in the right place, he still tried to re-create the one Android that is capable of dismantling the Avengers.

5 He Isn't Good At Predicting

In the Vision and Scarlet Witch series Vision allowed Wanda to use her magical hexing abilities to "create" her children because she can't bear children on her own. While it was Wanda who created the reality-warping hex, Vision was very much a part of the decision. As a humanoid android with highly advanced intelligence, he should have been able to predict the possibilities of something going terribly wrong.

Years later, they realized that the children were a part of Mephisto's body that was later re-absorbed. This caused Wanda to go insane and manipulate the universe, causing much destruction. As an AI, he could have predicted these circumstances.

4 He Sent a Quinjet Into The Avengers Mansion

Comics Avengers-Quinjet

Wanda loses control of her powers after the apparent death of her children which alters Vision's reality. This in turn caused Vision to crash an Avengers Quinjet into their Mansion. The Vision advises his teammates that he is no longer in control of his body, and then expels several spheres that form into five Ultrons.

The Avengers destroy them, and enraged She-Hulk tears apart the remains of the Vision, having been driven to a breaking point by the rapid slew of attacks against the Avengers. As an AI Vision should have been able to detect something wrong with his body as he was flying the quinjet into the home base.

3 Shot Down War Machine During Captain America: Civil War

Iron Man holds an injured War Machine in Captain America: Civil War

He shot at war machine because he missed falcon, therefore, paralyzing him. While at the airport during the Civil War, Vision, who took a stand with Iron Man, shot a laser beam directed at Falcon.

However, he misses and hits his own teammate War Machine, who falls and ends up paralyzed because of Vision’s mistake. When asked how he could have such a bad aim, Vision responds that he “got distracted.” Tony remarks that he “didn’t know that was possible” for an android. He was supposed to be the best of all the Avengers combined.

2 He Didn’t Help Catch Crossbones

Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones in Captain America: Civil War

During the movie Captain America: Civil War, the opening scene shows Captain America, Wanda, Black Widow, and the Falcon trying to take down Crossbones. Unfortunately, the mission goes astray when Wanda accidentally blows up a building.

This may not have happened though if Vision wasn't somewhere else, not helping. It is unclear whether or not the business he was attending was more important than the mission at hand. This explosion would lead to the signing of the Sokovia accords, which would then lead to the Civil War between Captain America and Iron Man.

1 Put Civilians Life At Risk With His Recklessness

This occurred in Ms. Marvel #5 when Ms. Marvel sensed that there was something wrong with the truck that Vision was guarding. Yet, Vision did not realize the truck he swore to protect had a bomb inside of it.

It would have paid off if Vision hadn’t been lazy and knew what he signed up for when he decided to protect the truck “at all costs.”
