Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for its upcoming historical drama Marco Polo.

TheWrap has more details about the series, which will be set in 13thpcentury China and focus on the Italian merchant's travels. The drama will also include a lot of sex and violence -- sometimes all at once, if the naked fighter featured in the stylish trailer is any indication.

The 10-episode series will debut in its entirety Dec. 12 on Netflix. The show was originally developed by Starz, but the network abandoned ship when plans to film in China fell through. Netflix scooped up the drama and filmed in Italy, Kazakhstand and Malaysia.

Italian actor Lorenzo Richelmy stars as Marco Polo. Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Chin Han, Zhu Zhu, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Mahesh Jadu, Tom Wu, Remy Hii, Uli Latukefu and Rick Yune also star.
