The world's most popular MMORPG has recently celebrated its 15th year online, having also re-released the very first expansion that helped bring the game where it is today and captured the hearts of millions of players worldwide. However, some of you have still never tried your hand at this vastly exciting multiplayer, while others are unsure of which class they should main even after roaming Azeroth for years.

Today, we'll show you how a popular personality tool known as the Meyer-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) can help you make that decision. So, to find out which World of Warcraft class you'd best be playing based on your personality, keep reading.

10 Hunter - ISFP

Aided by their trusty pets, Hunters shoot their enemies down from an extremely long-range while using clever traps for control. This class pairs perfectly with the ISFP or the "Adventurer" personality type.

As an ISFP, you're practical and extremely aware of your environment - a necessary trait for every Hunter, given the class relies on abilities such as Disengage and setting traps. You also like to live in the moment, venturing through the world of Azeroth with your pet which will throw itself on anyone that threatens you.

9 Mage - ISTP

Your ISTP personality makes you the ideal person to play a Mage. You're a practical, confident, and quick-witted person who prefers hands-on experience to theory and abstract ideas. Because of your quick-paced and action-oriented nature, you get easily bored with mundane tasks and can be impulsive at times. To you, the Mage playstyle of confusing your enemies with teleportation and dealing devastating damage sounds much better than just standing around and healing or tanking.

When it comes to World of Warcraft, you just want to go in and do some damage. Luckily, all three Mage specializations are purely damage-oriented. You can either be a tricky arcane sorcerer, a crazy pyromaniac or simply freeze your enemies alive. Your choice.

8 Death Knight - ESTJ

If your personality marks you as an ESTJ, you like to take charge and don't mind the extra attention. There's one class that stands out as ideal for an ESTJ: the mighty Death Knight. As a powerful melee damage dealer, you won't hesitate to show people who's the boss. In fact, you are constantly followed by your faithful undead sidekick and have the ability to summon an entire army of undead that will obey your every command.

ESTJs are highly confident, sociable, and organized individuals who, due to their assertiveness often rise to leadership positions, directing others. With a Death Knight, your armor will be almost impenetrable while your servants will easily overwhelm your enemies, leaving them begging you to finish them off with your massive weapon.

7 Druid - INFJ

Keepers of the natural order of Azeroth, Druids have learned how to tame the power of nature and use it to either heal their allies or punish their enemies. Sensitive, caring, future-focused, resourceful, and often pacifist, INFJs make the perfect Druids, and they make especially good healers. You are an introverted and highly artistic person who understands others' emotions and is able to empathize with them.

And while most of the Druid's playstyle is done from up far, if you want to get up close and personal, the Feral specialization will allow you to transform into a vicious animal to do some serious damage. As an INFJ, you are interested in abstract ideas such as the meaning of life and how to make the world a better place, which pairs perfectly with the protective and caring nature of Druids.

6 Paladin - ENFJ

If you're an ENFJ, you're a highly extroverted person whose love for the company of others is only exceeded by your giving nature. As a kind of loyal giver, you are the noblest of warriors - you are a Paladin. This class will allow you to be right there in the front lines of the battle. Shielded by your heavy armor and empowered by the divine light you will be able to get up close and personal with your enemies while simultaneously healing your allies and protecting them from harm.

After all, Paladins are healers and protectors. As in real life, so in World of Warcraft, people would be able to depend on you to save them from harm and be right there by their side when they need you. Both your outgoing and giving personality make you everyone's favorite, while your useful Paladin class will also earn you hundreds of friend requests in the game.

5 Priest - ISFJ

Though quiet and reserved, an ISFJ or "Defender" like yourself is always aware of everyone's emotions and knows how to respond appropriately. Though sensitive, you are extremely kind, loyal, and giving, which is why the Priest class is perfect for you. Priests are calm and collected healers who summon the power of the light to heal their allies and protect them from harm.

Characteristic to most introverts, Priests do all their healing or damage from a distance, without the need to get in anyone's face. They are watchful protectors of their teammates who will have the ability to shield and heal others regardless of whether they opt for a Shadow (damage) or one of their healing specializations. And like ISFJs, sometimes Priests put the well-being of others ahead of themselves, sacrificing themselves and healing as an Angelic figure post-death.

4 Rogue - ESTP

Rogues are vicious assassins who ambush enemies from the shadows, dealing devastating damage. If you're an ESTP, this is the class you should play. As an extrovert, you don't mind getting close to your opponents to finish them off. In fact, you enjoy watching them squirm. Being a successful Rogue requires much skill, but this is no problem for you: your ESTP personality makes you quick-witted, resourceful, and always two steps ahead of everyone else.

In fact, this is why you often act impulsively or even reckless. And rogues are arguably the most reckless class. Being action-oriented, abstract ideas and mundane theory usually bore you, as you love learning by doing. Handling a Rogue, you will possess almost no healing and will and rely on skill, mobility, and surprise factor to defeat your enemies.

3 Shaman - ENFP

Shamans have a lot in common with Paladins, both are hybrid classes carrying heavy armor and able to heal their allies. This is why in World of Warcraft: Classic, the Shaman is, in fact, the Horde equivalent of the Paladin. However, we think the Shaman class will be more suitable to fit the "Champion" personality. As an ENFP, you're a warm and confident giver who loves spending time with others.

In fact, you are endless fun and often the life of the party. The Shaman class will allow your creativity to shine, featuring three completely different specializations based on your needs: from the caregiving Restoration Shaman that heals his allies to a caster that controls the elements to a melee warrior that gets up close and personal with his enemies.

2 Warlock - INTJ

Are you a stone-cold, collected, yet highly competitive perfectionist? If so, you must be an INTJ. This rare personality type prefers intellectual stimulation of learning new and obscure things to mundane social gatherings. The Warlock is a lonesome evil sorcerer who is, like most INTJs due to their cold appearance, misunderstood by the other classes. Warlocks can summon powerful demonic minions and use curses to devastate their enemies.

Being an INTJ, you're a confident individual who holds himself up to highest standards, sometimes appearing conceited or insensitive. The Warlock will take you on many exciting and class-specific quests requiring you to roam Azeroth alone, discovering your abilities and learning how to master the power of darkness.

1 Warrior - ENTJ

The Warrior is as straightforward as a class can get. Equipped with heavy armor and up to two massive swords for extra damage, it's an ideal class for a confident extrovert such as yourself. In fact, your ENTJ personality makes you a confident, organized, and determined leader whom others look up to for his charisma.

Being highly outspoken and assertive, it's in your nature to help guide others by example, and the Warrior class will have you standing in the very front lines of the battle, mercilessly slicing at your enemies and showing everyone whose in "Charge."
