(August 8, 2006) - The Comic-Con exclusive edition of Jason Kruse'shysterical fantasy masterpiece "World of Quest," from publisherKomikwerks, LLC, sold out completely at the recent event in San Diego.
Convention-goers were clamoring for the limited edition black andwhite printing of "World of Quest," which was prepared exclusively forthe Comic-Con International. By the midday Saturday Kruse was turningaway disappointed fans.
"I had hoped there would be interest at the show but I never expectedto sell out by midday Saturday!" said Kruse, who sold the exclusivesfrom his outpost in artist's alley. "It's just so gratifying to seethe interest in my book after so many years in development. I justwant to say a big thank you to all the great people that purchased acopy and hope that everyone'll check out the full-color version whenit's released in the next few weeks."
The graphic novel has been called "'Conan the Barbarian' by way of'Calvin and Hobbes'," by Eisner award-winning humor writer KeithGiffen who adds, "Do the comicbook market a favor and support thisbook."
"World of Quest" tells a story set in the land of Odyssia, whereformer hero Quest unwillingly becomes the bodyguard to Prince Nestor,a young smart-alec who knows the whereabouts of a mystic dagger thatis the key to ultimate power. Together, they'll face creatures, bountyhunters and other evils vying for the weapon. In the meantime, they'llhave to deal with each other!
The limited edition Comic-Con exclusive may be sold out, but fans canstill pick up the full-color graphic novel at find comic shopseverywhere.
