Wonder Woman Battles Ra's al Ghul on Dark Nights: Metal Variant

DC Comics has unveiled Andy Kubert's variant cover for Dark Nights: Metal #4, featuring Wonder Woman in combat with Ra's al Ghul.

Kubert has provided variant covers for each issue of the series, with previous outings including images of Batman riding a dinosaur, Batman wearing a Court of Owls mask, and Superman fighting the Devastator. Thus far, each image he's illustrated has corresponded to a scene in the issue, so the odds are pretty good we'll see the Amazon warrior throw down with one of Batman's most dangerous foes in Metal #4.

The solicitations for Dark Nights: Metal #4 reveals new questions:

The Justice League has been broken and scattered to the far corners of the DCU, each member forced to face their worst fears alone…and the fears are winning. When an unlikely ally reveals a glimmer of hope, they must seize their chance, or risk their window of opportunity closing for good!

In issue #2, the Demon's Head was seen among a group of immortals who voted to use the brain of the Anti-Monitor to destroy the Dark Multiverse. Ra's al Ghul, though, seemed to believe that Batman would be looking for an alternative way to combat Barbatos. Could he be this unlikely ally?

Wonder Woman, meanwhile, is traveling to the Rock of Eternity with Doctor Fate and Kendra Saunders in issue #3, so an armed conflict could be coming.

Dark Nights: Metal #4 hits shelves on December 20, 2017.
