Those of you who have been champing at the bit for more "Wonder Woman" footage have only a few hours to wait; Warner Bros. and DC Films' latest big screen superhero adventure has teased a special sneak peek during tonight's (May 1) episode of "Gotham."

Though fans have bemoaned a perceived lack of promotion for the film, Warner Bros. has actually been spending some big bucks on "Wonder Woman's" ad campaign. According to a recent Vanity Fair article, as of last week the studio has spent $3,043,212 for TV advertising across the U.S. so far. By comparison, at the same point in its pre-release period, the company had only spent $2,645,643 on TV advertising for “Suicide Squad.”

This information came shortly after Warner Bros' chief marketing officer Kristen O’Hara explained that the studio has been taking a different approach to marketing the film than usual. In fact, the movie's promotional campaign has been designed based in large part on lessons learned through the success of The CW's "Supergirl" series.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns from a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder, “Wonder Woman” stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, Lisa Loven Kongsli and David Thewlis. The film opens June 2.

Starring Ben McKenzie as Detective Jim Gordon, “Gotham” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Fox. The series also stars David Mazouz as young Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as young Selina Kyle, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins and Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.
