Marantz posted the images on his official Instagram account. The two versions of Diana's shield feature adaptations of Wonder Woman's iconic logo, giving them an even more Amazonian feel.
Batman v Superman introduced Wonder Woman to the DC Extended Universe. Director Zack Snyder opted to go with a subtle shield design that bore light Amazonian markings on the edges, as opposed to placing the superhero's emblem at the forefront. The shield played a big part in the sequence in which Gal Gadot debuted in action as Wonder Woman, fighting alongside Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman, against Doomsday.

Along with her lasso and Amazonian sword, Wonder Woman more or less stole the show, becoming one of the movie's better-received elements. Her reception in Batman v Superman led to Warner Bros. fast-tracking Patty Jenkins' record-breaking solo film that depicted the character's origins, with all roads leading to last year's Justice League.
Jenkins is poised to start shooting the sequel soon, so it's only a matter of time before Diana dons her shield again. The sequel will see Kristen Wiig take on the role of Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman's many comic book nemeses.
Wonder Woman 2, directed by Patty Jenkins, stars Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig. A premiere date has not yet be announced for the film.
