As awards season draws near, Warner Bros. has launched its Oscar campaign for director Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, beginning with a "For Your Consideration" web page.

That follows a report in July that the studio planned to lobby for Best Picture and Best Director nominations for the summer blockbuster, starring Gal Gadot as the DC Comics icon.

Wonder Woman is among four Warner Bros. films to a receive a "For Your Consideration" page, alongside The LEGO Batman Movie, Blade Runner 2049 and Dunkirk. In addition to Best Picture and Best Director, the studio also has its sights set on nominations for Best Actress for Gadot, Best Supporting Actress for Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya, and Best Supporting Actor for Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Danny Huston and Ewen Bremner.

Other categories include Best Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design and Best Costumes.

While the campaign is certainly ambitious, considering the Academy's limited recognition of superhero movies, the push for Jenkins as Best Director makes sense. With $821.5 million from the global box office, Wonder Woman is the highest-grossing movie directed by a woman. Kathryn Bigelow is the only woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director, for 2010's The Hurt Locker.

Here is the full list of categories and potential nominees for which Warner Bros. has submitted Wonder Woman for consideration:
