WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Wonder Woman #761, by Mariko Tamaki, Carlo Barberi, Alejandro Sanchez, Matt Santorelli, Pat Brosseau, Brittany Holzherr, Paul Kaminski and Jamie S. Rich, on sale now.

Wonder Woman's had major success recently in bridging the gap between the Amazons and humanity after Themyscira opened an embassy to enhance relations, making Paradise Island's culture as accessible as ever.

However, following a barrage of psychic attacks after she moved to a new residence in Washington, Diana's run into a massive problem. That's because, in Wonder Woman #761, she's being played by a psychic that seems to be Max Lord's daughter.

Emma was introduced a couple of issues back as a quirky teenager with a rabbit, Mullaney, in Diana's apartment complex. They've been bonding as Diana feels bad Emma lost her family in a car crash, which also damaged the teen's mind. But things went off the rails when many people started hallucinating and committing atrocious crimes across America, culminating in Diana also attacking some Marines.

Initially, she thought it was Max Lord or other psychics held in a special prison, but as Etta Candy reveals, Max is on the road to redemption. It's soon discovered that a digital app, Odypix, is responsible for corrupting people's minds, and oddly enough, it's linked to Odysseus, a sub-section of Lord Industries. Max admits it was a weapon he conjured and decommissioned years ago but now someone's appropriating the tool, turning mankind into killers. When the issue ends, we see the retired General Hesper breaking into a military facility and launching nukes from Arizona at the capital, which finds Diana and Max en route to stop it before they shut down the Odypix servers.

It turns out it's Emma running the project as we see her seemingly breaking into the place, then using the program to instigate violence across the country. She gloats about causing Max Lord-esque carnage to her bunny while stating that this is for her dad -- someone she wants to make proud. Now, she doesn't confirm if Max is her father, but future solicits indicate Emma has ties to him and that it'll rock the core of his world. It more or less implies she's really his kid and that she'll be going by the name "Liar Liar."

As for her powers, it seems she's infecting minds with the app but her psychic abilities could be stronger than Max's given that she got in Wonder Woman's head, making her see Ares and Cheetah even while holding the Lasso of Truth. That weapon should have snapped Diana out but Liar Liar has found a way to manipulate the truth, ergo why the lasso had Diana locked in a hallucinatory mental state. It'll be interesting to see the full extent of Emma's abilities because we know Max has gone after the Justice League on many occasions, even being killed before the New 52 era when Diana broke his neck. That said, it appears Emma (whose mom remains a mystery) wants to be his true successor and won't stop until she causes just as much destruction.
