Wonder Woman Movie Footage Set to '70s TV Theme is Exactly What We Need

After this long, dark and depressing presidential campaign, the eve of the U.S. election feels a bit like teetering on the edge of a cliff, peering into the abyss. On this day we could desperately use some inspiration, something to lift our spirits and put a smile on our faces.

Say, something like footage from the upcoming "Wonder Woman" film set to the theme song from the classic 1970s television series starring Lynda Carter.

Created by Sebastian Hughes using footage from the two movie trailers, the mash-up is an injection of nostalgia right to the brain -- or maybe it's the heart? -- as Gal Gadot's Amazon Princess kicks butt and deflects bullets to the undeniably catchy disco sounds of Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel's theme (the duo behind Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly With His Song").

So, when you begin to feel your stomach twist in knots at the thought of what horrors Election Day may hold, just sit back, breathe deeply, and put this video on repeat. 'Cause all the world's waiting on you, and the power you possess ...

Directed by Patty Jenkins, "Wonder Woman" also stars Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Elena Anaya, Danny Huston, Lisa Loven Kongsli and David Thewlis. The film opens June 2, 2017.
