As Justice League draws closer to release, Warner Bros. and DC Films have been dedicating weeks to a specific hero. The hero spotlights began with Jason Momoa's Aquaman, and then Ezra Miller’s Flash. This week is a two-for-one, as the focus falls on Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. And, to kick the week off, we see how the two heroes will first meet.
We also learn that in the DC Extended Universe continuity, Cyborg’s origin is relatively the same as it has been in comics and animation. College athlete Victor Stone got in a horrible accident, and to save his life, his father fused his body with “alien” (read here: Apocoliptian) technology that turns him into Cyborg. Thanks to his new Mother Box-based powers, Stone has the ability to interact with any form of technology and transform his body into various weapons and gadgets, including a cannon and a jetpack.
While he’s been living in a life of seclusion since his transformation, Wonder Woman clearly believes that he’s meant for something I better. “We need you, Victor...or maybe you need us.”
Arriving in theaters on Nov. 17, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, and Ciaran Hinds.
