After lassoing up a whopping $800 million at the worldwide box office, Warner Bros. looks to continue to reap the benefit of the Amazon Princess’ critical and commercial success by sending Wonder Woman back to IMAX theaters for a limited time, beginning this Friday.
Despite hitting Digital HD in less than one week and Blu-ray and DVD in less than one month, another theatrical run – even if only for a short stretch – could easily propel Wonder Woman to the additional $4 million it needs to surpass 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, which earned $408 million stateside compared to the Amazon Princess’ $404 million. A mere million after that, and Wonder Woman will have the honor of landing in the top five domestic superhero movies of all time, alongside such blockbusters as The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Available Aug. 29 on Digital HD and Sept. 19 on Blu-ray and DVD, Wonder Woman stars Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Ares, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Elena Anaya as Doctor Poison, and Lucy Davis as Etta Candy.
