The following contains spoilers for Trial of the Amazons #2, on sale now from DC Comics.

Wonder Woman is one of DC's greatest superheroes, but unlike her peers Batman and Superman, she doesn't have her own secret base. The Man of Steel has the Fortress of Solitude and the Dark Knight, of course, has his beloved Batcave. His base of operations is one of the most iconic in all of comics, with a seemingly endless supply of gadgets, gear, and trophies galore. So why doesn't Diana have her own?

Well, now she does, thanks to Trial of the Amazons #2 (by Becky Cloonan, Micheal W. Conrad, Vita Ayala, Stephanie Williams, Joëlle Jones, Elena Casagrande, Laura Braga, Skylar Patridge, Adriana Melo, Romulo Fajardo Jr., Jordie Bellaire and Pat Brosseau). Both during the battle and afterward, it was revealed the princess of the Amazons has her own Batcave of sorts, hidden beneath Themyscira.

Trial of the Amazons 2 War Chest of Nike

As the Amazons fought Chaos, they went to get gear that could stand the might of a god. Thankfully, beneath the beautiful architecture of the Amazon's home, there lies an armory, the War Chest of Nike. Named after the Greek Goddess, inside is basically a treasure trove of items from Wonder Woman's past, present, and future.

Inside, there were many weapons, some of which may be familiar to fans of the Wonder Woman film series. There was also her golden, winged armor from Kingdom Come (by Mark Waid and Alex Ross), which was also featured in Wonder Woman 1984. As well as that, there were gauntlets, capes, and headpieces, all of which were significant to Diana's adventures. Then there was the Invisible Jet. If the War Chest of Nike didn't seem like her version of the Batcave already, having her version of the Batmobile parked inside confirmed it.

However, it didn't end there. There was a second armory hidden beneath the first. This one was even more significant to Diana herself and had an even better name than the War Chest of Nike. Diana brought her Future State successor, Yara Flor, to this secret room and introduced her to... the Tiar-mory. An editor's note gives credit to Becky Cloonan for the ingenious name. Inside the Tiar-mory is a collection of all the various tiaras Diana has worn over the years. It's like Batman or Iron Man's armories, with their suits on display, but far more stylish and far more personal.

Trial of the Amazons 2 Tiar-mory Tiara collection

There are tiaras from all eras of Wonder Woman. There are the original, more simplified Golden Age era tiaras as well as some Elseworlds tiaras, like those worn in Flashpoint and Injustice. There are even tiaras of Lantern corps, like the Black Lanterns. Most surprising of all is the inclusion of some sixties sunglasses, reminding readers of Diana's infamous powerless days as a spy, indicating that all the hero's history is cherished here.

The Tiar-mory and the War Chest of Nike finally give Diana something she's been lacking, a home base. She's usually adrift in Man's World, moving from one place to the next. She doesn't have a Gotham or Metropolis. Now, Themsyscira has been established as her home, the center of her quest for peace in Man's World. If the Tiar-mory is her Batcave, then Paradise Island is her version of Wayne Manor. And that indicates that Diana will have a greater connection to her island home in the future.

Yara Flor made a comment about her now being one of three Wonder Girls, comparing them to Batman's ever-increasing Robins. Whilst it was obviously a joke, this combined with the revelation of Diana's own answer to the Batcave certainly sets her up to be compared to her pointy-eared friend. Although she's always been her own unique hero, perhaps returning to Themyscira more often and relying on her allies could do Wonder Woman some good, going forward.
