In May, Justice League star Gal Gadot mentioned that she almost quit acting prior to director Zack Snyder casting her as Wonder Woman. Now, she has revealed her reaction to finding out she got the part.
The footage comes from Comic-Con International in San Diego, which was held in July. When asked what she was doing when she found out she'd been cast as Wonder Woman, Gadot responded, "I was sitting in an airplane, just landed, and then I got the call, and then I started screaming in the middle of the airplane while I was still buckled up." The clip then shows footage of Wonder Woman from the upcoming Justice League film.
The Israeli-born actress debuted as Wonder Woman in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before starring in a solo film based on the character in 2017. The Wonder Woman solo film received critical acclaim and has gone on to earn over $818 million worldwide. She is slated to reprise her role in Justice League and the recently announced Wonder Woman 2.
Opening November 17, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Raymond Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Amber Heard as Mera and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
