The official solicitation and cover for Wonder Woman #777 pits Wonder Woman against her Earth-11 counterpart, Wonder Man.

The solicitation hints at Diana's attempt to return to Earth-0, until things take "a sharp left turn in the Multiverse." She ends up on Earth-11, where Dane of Elysium -- aka Wonder Man -- has gone on a rampage. Diana battles Wonder Man while attempting to find a new way home. The issue will also contain a backup story by Jordie Bellaire and Paulina Ganucheau, featuring a young Diana on Paradise Island.

  • Wonder Woman learns the hard way that fairies are never to be trusted when her promised trip home takes a sharp left turn in the Multiverse!
  • Welcome to Earth-11, headquarters of the Justice Guild. In this alternate version of Diana’s Earth, the Amazons of Themyscira imposed their law on the entire world, and the course of history was changed forever! Sounds like a dream afterlife for our hero, but Janus has somehow managed to poison this paradise. Dane of Elysium, a.k.a. Wonder Man, is on a violent rampage, and it’s now up to Wonder Woman to bring him in and clear her name!
  • Back on Earth-0, Young Diana learns the real story behind the creation of Paradise Island and the price paid for freedom. Will she ever trust the elders again? Or are the lies too much for the princess to handle?

Earth-11 is known for having gender-swapped versions of DC heroes, including Batwoman and Superwoman. In this world, the Amazons chose to share their knowledge with mankind, leading to male warriors hiding away from the world on Elysium Island.  It first appeared during Superman/Batman #23, where Bizarro and Batzarro were sent hurtling through the multiverse.

Diana is currently undergoing a trial of her own, as she has inexplicably been trapped in the realm of Valhalla and locked in eternal conflict. This cycle threatens to strip Diana of her memories as Wonder Woman until she heals the World Tree Yggdrasil and prevents the apocalyptic event known as Ragnarok.

Written by Becky Cloonan & Michael W. Conrad and Jordie Bellaire and illustrated by Emanuela Lupacchino & Wade von Grawbadger and Paulina Ganucheau with a cover by Travis Moore, Wonder Woman #777 goes on sale on Aug. 10 from DC.
