Wonder Woman, Fantastic Four 2, Superman Returns, Ultimate Avengers: October 31st

In an interview with Suicide Girls, director Joss Whedon talks about updating Princess Diana’s look. “We’re definitely have a nicer look than that,” Whedon said. “It will be the Wonder Woman silhouette, but the star spangled adult diapers are gone. Wonder Woman is going to have major special effects because she’s Wonder Woman. Joel and I are very much on the same page about how big this movie is and what kind of movie it is. I’m not worried about any conflict there. But with Joel, he wakes up and there’s conflict but it’s the good kind. The kind that makes good movies.”

Actor Chris Evans talked to Total Film, and he noted when the quartet would be in front of the cameras again. “We start next June. There’ll definitely be new villains. They said something about Mole Man and The Puppet Master. I think they should bring Dr Doom back!”

According to this Australian site, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth and Brandon Routh were 3D scanned for digital doubles as a part of the production.

Meanwhile, comics creator Mark Waid talked to Monitor Duty about the footage he’s been able to see. “I think it’s going to be amazing,” Waid said. “From what I’ve seen of the raw footage, they just GET IT. I mean, I really had goosebumps.”

Finally, James Marsden talked to Newsweek about working on “Superman Returns” and “X-Men 3.” Of his role in the former, he said, “[his character and Lois Lane] have a child together-and Superman comes back and sees the love of his life is moving on. That’s basically all I can say. They make you sign these lengthy confidentiality agreements.”

Comics Continuum has an update on the direct-to-DVD project, complete with character designs from co-director Steven Gordon, who also worked on the “X-Men: Evolution” series.

Zap2It has a feature about the upcoming reunion of actors John Schneider and Tom Wopat. “That was a great idea [to pair them up],” says Tom Welling, who plays Clark. “They were like two kids in a candy store, being together. You could tell that a lot of the old gags came up again.”

There’s updates on upcoming episodes of the hit animated series over at Comics Continuum, including two episodes of the Gotham-centric show and following the teen heroes all the way into December.

Here’s where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn’t catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all — fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/reviewer/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
