Sometimes, people cosplay as characters they relate to; there’s something in the character that resonates with them, or inspires them. Occasionally, there are times, especially when attempting to emulate celebrity portrayals of comic book characters, when people look just like their inspiration. Twitter user Lis.Wonder could easily stand in for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. The cosplayer posted a photo, credited to Jerry Kestel, of herself in full Wonder Woman regalia, standing on a rocky beach. To the casual observer, it is difficult not to conclude upon first glance that it’s a still from Wonder Woman or the upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

Lis.Wonder hopes actress Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins take notice, citing them as the true inspiration to her and other fans. Lis.Wonder has also cosplayed other versions of Wonder Woman, including the formal blue dress version and Wonder Woman “sister” Donna Troy. Her non-Wonder Woman work includes Mathilda from Leon: The Professional and Shank from Ralph Breaks the Internet, who was also voiced by Gal Gadot.
