To celebrate Wonder Woman's 80th anniversary, DC Comics is launching a new anthology series titled Wonder Woman Black & Gold.

Wonder Woman Black & Gold will feature a roster of all-star creators providing stories featuring the Amazing Amazon. In the vein of fellow anthology series Batman: Black & White and Superman: Red & Blue, the series will be illustrated in mostly black and white, with splashes of gold representing Diana's Lasso of Truth.

The first issue of Wonder Woman Black & Gold will feature a story by John Arcudi (B.P.R.D.) and Ryan Sook (Legion of Super-Heroes) that explores Diana's immortality. Other creators for the first issue include current Wonder Woman series writer Becky Cloonan, who will write and illustrate a tale; Amy Reeder (Amethyst) providing a World War II-era tale that co-stars Diana's longtime companion Etta Candy; AJ Mendez Brooks (Crazy is my Superpower, Dungeons & Dragons: At the Spine of the World) and Ming Doyle (Constantine: The Hellblazer) writing a tale set on Themiscyra; and the Swamp Thing: Twin Branches creative team of Nadia Shammas and Morgan Beem exploring Diana's failure.

Wonder Woman Black & Gold will also feature a series of covers with the same color scheme as the interiors. Cover artists include Jen Bartel (Future State: Immortal Wonder Woman), Yannick Paquette and Joshua Middleton.

Wonder Woman Black & Gold #1 goes on sale on June 22 from DC.
