Though Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson have known each other for almost a decade since their Fast & Furious days, the Wonder Woman 1984 star doesn't want her character to intrude upon Black Adam's DC Extended Universe debut before a crossover involving their characters is even considered.

Speaking with MTV News, Gadot addressed whether she and Johnson have ever talked about Black Adam and Wonder Woman meeting up sometime in the DCEU's future, given their similar immortal, godlike power and backstories. "I think that, first of all, like let's give Black Adam the respect of Black Adam," Gadot said, noting how she didn't "want to come and steal anybody's thunder," even if that's a difficult achievement to pull off with someone like The Rock. However she wasn't against the idea of a crossover between these two DC characters happening should Black Adam do well, stating "maybe in the future. I mean who knows."

Though Johnson has long been signed on to play Black Adam in the DCEU, DC FanDome shed more light on his character's story via a concept art teaser. Since then, the cast for Black Adam has grown to include Aldis Hodge and Noah Centineo as Justice Society of America heroes Hawkman and Atom Smasher, as well as Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Sarah Shahi has also been cast in an unknown role that, according to rumors, may be Black Adam's comic love interest Isis.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell and Sarah Shahi. The film has yet to receive a release date.
