Following the blockbuster success of Wonder Woman's live action film, the Amazon superhero received her second solo film from Warner Bros. Animation, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. However, if a longtime Warner Bros. Animation producer had his way, this would just be the beginning for Wonder Woman.

James Tucker, Executive Producer on Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, told reporters at New York Comic-Con that he hoped that this new film will prove that Wonder Woman should have her own animated series.

The film is a prequel to Justice League War and serves to show what Wonder Woman's life is like when she is not a part of the Justice League. Tucker noted, "I wanted to show what her life was like in man's world. To show a sort of example of what a Wonder Woman animated series would be like." The film delves into Wonder Woman's origin, showing the differences in her origin from the previous 2009 Wonder Woman film, but most of the film is set during Wonder Woman's time in America, demonstrating her day-to-day life when she is not fighting crime.

While Wonder Woman films often spotlight Themyscira/Paradise Island and Steve Trevor shows up frequently, as well, the rest of Wonder Woman's extensive supporting cast has rarely been spotlighted in films or television. So when Tucker was asked about what he hoped to achieve with this film, he explained that "I'm hoping, there won't necessarily be one in the continuity of this movie, but there should be a Wonder Woman animated series." He went on to state that, "I think there's enough material there to rival what we did with Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series and Justice League."

That is a powerful statement from someone who has been working with DC superheroes in animation since the mid-1990s.
