In January, DC Comics celebrates the 750th issue of Wonder Woman with a 96-page release featuring an all-star roster of creators.
Confirmed writers for Wonder Woman #750 are Greg Rucka and Gail Simone, each of whom have contributed definitive runs for the character; current ongoing series writer Steve Orlando; emerging talents Vita Ayala, Marguerite Bennett, Jeff Loveness; and highly acclaimed authors including Teen Titans: Raven's Kami Garcia, Shannon and Dean Hale, and Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass and This One Summer writer Mariko Tamaki. Catwoman artist Joëlle Jones will provide the main cover, and interior artists include Colleen Doran, Jesus Merino, Nicola Scott, Elena Casagrade, and Gabriel Picolo, with more to come.
The announced creators represent a number of writers and artists who have either contributed significantly to Diana of Themyscira's legacy, such as Rucka and Simone, have Wonder Woman projects forthcoming, like the Hales' Diana: Princess of the Amazons, or have found acclaim in the YA field and have recently crossed over to superheroes, as in the case of Tamaki and Garcia. Even with more announcements to come, Wonder Woman #750 has assembled a strong line-up with broad appeal.
Much like Detective Comics #1000 and Action Comics #1000, DC will also be offering a number of variant covers depicting the Amazon Warrior in different decades, from 1940 to present, in styles reminiscent of the comics of that era. Joshua Middleton will provide the 1940s cover, Jenny Frison the '50s, J. Scott Campbell tackling the 1960s, the '70s by Olivier Coipel, the '80s George Perez, Brian Bolland the '90s, Adam Hughes for the '00s, and Jim Lee and Scott Williams rounding out the 2010s.
Wonder Woman #750 lands in shops January 22, 2020. The 96-page prestige format comic will retail for $9.99.
