Cheetah debuted in Wonder Woman comics in 1943, and has appeared in four incarnations over the past 75 years. It's been reported that the film's version of the character will be Barbara Ann Minerva, the third iteration, described as a British anthropologist who becomes the avatar of a cheetah god after mistakenly finding her way into an ancient ritual.
